November is Canada Career Month!
Canada Career Month (CCM) is almost here!
The 2018 CCM theme for November 2018 is “I Know I Can Because” which focuses on building resiliency and identifying personal strengths and resources within ourselves which can help build success! Throughout the month, Canadians will be invited to share their skills on social media using the hashtag #iknowicanbecause. You can learn more about how to get involved in CCM at careermonth.ca.
When you tweet your message, please you these hashtags #IKNOWICANBECAUSE and #CareerMonth as much as possible to spread the word!
In addition to the social media campaign, perhaps you are already planning a campus outreach that lends itself to the theme of building resiliency. If so, please feel free to use the resources which are attached. (including posters and social media logos.)
Finally, we can post your event on the national career month web site. Contact events@careermonth.ca with your details.

I am sending along information regarding the upcoming Canada Career Month 2017; the CCM executive have been busy behind the scenes planning the Career Month campaign and creating a new website which will list ideas and activities to help celebrate the month. The CCM site: www.careermonth.ca is planned to be available mid-August. There will be space available for organizations to list their events.

Greetings from The Canadian Council for Career Development (3CD). We hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather.
3CD is a self-initiated and self-funded umbrella group for career development associations and related partner groups from across Canada. It provides a national advocacy voice for the career development field and promotes provincial/territorial collaboration on common issues such as certification, training, practitioner mobility, quality service indicators and building the career development evidence base. It is also the organizing body for Canada Career Month. .
This is a preliminary email to inform your organization regarding the upcoming Canada Career Month theme for November, 2017.
- 2017 Canada Career Month theme: What’s Next? As in, what’s next for me, for the economy, for how technology will change the world of work, for the field of career development and for Canada. The theme revolves around “change” and has many creative possibilities for your organization to celebrate the month. The theme also aligns well with the “The Challenge of Change” recent federal budget.
Background:
Canada Career Month was first launched in 2016 by 3CD. The purpose of Canada Career Month is to raise awareness of the values of lifelong career development and of its role in empowering Canadians to navigate changes throughout their life & work. Career education and career development services positively empower citizens to manage the living, learning and earning throughout their lives and supports the economic health of nations who invest in quality career development services.
We’re inviting you to think about events and activities that you can do to celebrate the theme of What’s Next? and to share with us what you decide to do on the Canada Career Month 2017 website (http://www.careermonth.ca/). Promotional materials and a calendar of events will be available on the site mid-August, 2017. As an early teaser, one free, innovative event to mark in your calendars that is open for all middle and high schools in Canada is Canada’s ‘Most Informed’ School Competition, from November 1-30, 2017. This event raises funds for schools while students, parents and teachers explore opportunities in post-secondary and careers!

S.A.G.E Fundraiser
Hello all,
S.A.G.E. youth group with be hosting a fundraiser on May 23rd from 6pm-9pm. The fundraiser will be located at the Workers Arts and Heritage Centre. The fundraiser will include live music, delicious food, local art and a silent auction.
S.A.G.E. supports young people who identify outside of the gender binary. The group currently runs once a month and is completely funded by a local donor. We are gracious for the support that we have received, but young people in the group have voiced that meeting only once a month is not enough. The funds raised will go towards increasing the frequency of group meetings, to provide young people with the support they have been requesting.
I am attaching the poster, please distribute widely!

Good morning. I am connecting with you because believe it or not next week is Mental Health Week. Always the first week of May and we have lots of exciting things happening in the community next week.
One thing that is taking place across this beautiful country of ours is encouraging everyone to Shine Green for Mental Health next week. There are a number of ways in which you can do this. If you have a home or business light it up green and upload your information to the website listed below so we can thank you and support you on social media. Or you can dress in green and use the #GETLOUD and upload a pic and show your support that way.
Our goal is to truly make this more than a week but a movement and a shift in the way we talk about mental health in our community.

- How can outcome measures be used to manage client flow?
