Dear Colleagues
The Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH) is implementing an exciting project that aims to support mental health programs and services being offered on Ontario public college and university campuses to evaluate their efforts. Over the last couple of years, we have developed a suite of evaluation resources that are targeted to the PSE environment, including a toolkit, webinars and resource sheets.
Last year, three campuses also participated in our coaching project. We are now looking for 3 more mental health programs/services on campuses that are willing looking to enhance their evaluation capacity. Piloting will involve using the toolkit and other resources to develop and/or implement an evaluation plan. This evaluation plan will help programs/services learn more about their strengths and areas for growth, and also how their work makes a difference in the lives of students and others. The project also offers the support of a coach; an evaluation expert in the PSE world that will offer direct, tailored support to programs/services to use the tools and learn about evaluation!
CICMH is hoping for a balance of:
- Public College and university settings (Ontario only)
- Urban and rural/remote settings
- At least one program that involves a collaboration with a community partner.
- Different types of programs/services (i.e., accessibility offices, student wellness centres, counselling centres)
They also want to consider programs and services that are newer in their journey with evaluation – (i.e.. those that would really benefit from tools/resources and the dedicated support of a champion in order to build their basic capacity). CICMH wants to begin this work by July.
If your college or university is interested in this exciting work please fill out this survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/D9BKSMQ by May 20, 2019.
